Job Duties
Manage Deliveries on Campus
Duties include planning delivery routes, safely operating delivery vehicles,
unloading and staging items. and communicating with department contacts regarding delivery status or
discrepancies.
Manage Receiving of Incoming Goods
Duties include unloading shipments from transport vehicles, properly storing materials. maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating with departments to confirm receipt.
Manage Warehouse cleaning
The position ensures that aisles, storage areas, and workspaces are free of hazards, properly arranged, and regularly inspected. Duties include removing debris, organizing supplies and equipment, performing routine housekeeping tasks, and ensuring that cleaning practices meet university and OSHA guidelines
Ensure goods are entered in Banner Financial System and Daily Receiving Log
Receives items on Banner, eVa, and on the daily computerized log within three working
days of the date items were physically received in Central receiving.
Secures Warehouse on a daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires working knowledge of general warehouse operations and practices, along with the ability to read, write, and perform routine mathematical calculations.
Proficiency in the safe use of forklifts pallet Jacks, and related ware outside equipment is essential, as well as the ability to operate calculators, computer keyboards, and standard office or warehouse software.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are critical, along with effective communication and customer service skills for working with diverse groups.
The role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and the physical capability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and to safely operate a heavy-duty truck when needed.
Additional Considerations
Familiarity with Banner and state procurement systems is preferred.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience in a higher education or state agency environment, current forklift certification, and familiarity with automated inventory and state procurement systems.
