The Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program is seeking a passionate and driven Transition Resource Coordinator to join our team in Northern Virginia. This boots-on-the-ground role dedicated to supporting transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, and dependents as they navigate the path to civilian life. Whether someone is separating from military service, relocating to Virginia, upskilling, or exploring new career opportunities this role will be their primary point of contact, offering personalized guidance and access to impactful resources.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate services across local, regional, state, and federal levels to connect military-connected individuals with employment tools like skills assessments, internships, and apprenticeships

• Deliver Transition Assistance Program (TAP) briefings on military installations and participate in resource days

• Develop and host virtual and in-person workshops to support job seekers in finding meaningful employment

• Lead outreach efforts, build strategic partnerships, and represent the agency at hiring events,
networking sessions, and community engagements.

Minimum Qualifications

· Ability to manage multiple clients, programmatic activities and/or projects simultaneously.

· Ability to effectively interact with diverse constituencies and inter-agency government officials.

· Ability to identify and prioritize program performance and service delivery.

· Knowledge of database administration and/or a client relationship management system (CRM).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Demonstrated attention to detail and good organizational skills.

· Prior experience providing training and instruction to adult learners.

· Knowledge of best practices on recruiting, hiring, and retaining military community.

· Knowledge of career readiness services such as resume writing, mock interviewing, and job/career navigation.

· Experience and knowledge with military transition processes (state/federal), resources, services and family/service member impact.

Additional Considerations

Background in social services, business, public administration, education or combination of education and job experience. research, public policy, public administration, business, or related field or equivalent experience.

Additional Considerations: Experience with public speaking; knowledge of SMVF terminology and culture.
