Job Duties

The Training Instructor part time position is a dynamic, proactive, collaborative position within the Staff Development and Training Department. Instructor will function as a member of a Staff Development team with an emphasis on the administrative roles of an instructor. Instructor’s focus will be on tracking, planning, developing, organizing and evaluating the results of training programs. They will ensure the training programs support initial and ongoing staff development needs of both clinical and ancillary staff. They will participate in the processes of conducting training, and tracking compliance with training. They must work well as a part of a team but also be a self motivated and able to work independently. They must be able to work well with all staff from direct care/front line staff through executive leadership. Instructor needs a keen understanding of adult learning principles.

Minimum Qualifications

Prior experience in a psychiatric setting. Experience with the Suite of Microsoft Products. Experience teaching, or training adult learners. Must be highly organized, detail oriented and be able to meet deadlines with multiple competing priorities.

Additional Considerations

Prior experience with a learning management system. Prior experience providing live, virtual and blended learning training/classes. Degree in a human services field. Prior experience with accreditation bodies, CMS, OSIG and other similar oversight bodies. Highly organized, detail oriented and be able to meet deadlines with multiple competing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

These positions are hourly/wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
