About the Agency:

The Virginia Department of Military Affairs State Team provides professional and responsive state support functions to the Adjutant General of Virginia, the Virginia National Guard, the Virginia Air Guard, and the Virginia Defense Force in order to ensure their ability to support and defend the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Purpose of Position:

Support development, submission, and execution of NVGVA C4IM, Administrative Services, Anti-Terrorism, and any others as needed, the budgets funded through federal-state cooperative agreements. Support the development, submission, and execution of all budget extensions and agreements

This position is limited to one (1) day of telework per week, and is subject to change based on the agency head and Governor of Virginia. Telework is only granted once the Common Access Card (CAC) is successfully obtained.

Minimum Qualifications

Competency in use of spreadsheets and database applications;

Knowledge of grants;

Advanced Microsoft Excel experience Required;

Knowledge of budgeting/accounting Software (Cardinal, BlueJay, or others);

Ability to work under a short suspense;

Must be goal-oriented;

Ability to track different budgets across multiple programs/ function areas;

Understanding of GAAP;

Valid Driver's License required.

Additional Considerations

Knowledge of State/Federal policies and procedures;

Experience using Cardinal Financial preferred, not required.
