Job Duties

Assists management with the grant financial management and analysis, financial reporting, and accounting functionality and technical assistance to ensure compliance for all federal grant funds; maintains an understanding of the chart of accounts to ensure documents and transactions have complete and accurate cost codes identified; applies appropriate accounting codes to invoices and travel vouchers; budget modification materials; prepares reports and assists with audits and compliance monitoring reviews; responds to requests for information; and researches and resolves issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive working knowledge of budgeting and accounting administration; general knowledge of workforce development; sound knowledge of fiscal practices and procedures.
• Ability to think and problem solve creatively; to effectively manage and complete assignments independently and as a team member; to successfully work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Strong attention to detail; strong organizational and financial management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with federal, state and local officials and leadership/professional staff in workforce development.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to include extensive skill in the use of spreadsheets and word processing applications.

Additional Considerations

• Previous experience in grants management and using technology systems.
