Job Description
The College of Science, Engineering, and Technology seeks applications for a nine-month tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics starting in August 2026. A review of applications will begin on January 30, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled. This position opened on December 19, 2025 and there is a five consecutive workdays minimum posting requirement.
Responsibilities
Duties include teaching mathematics courses at all levels with a commitment to academic excellence. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to advise students; develop curriculum; establish and maintain a relationship with industry; serve on departmental, school, and university committees; perform appropriate scholarly and service activities; and demonstrate productive and active research with publications, presentations and grantsmanship.
Overview of the Department
The Mathematics Department assists students of all majors in mastering the quantitative skills necessary for success in their various disciplines. The Department prepares students majoring in mathematics for careers in mathematical sciences from both a theoretical and an applied viewpoint, providing simultaneous preparation for those who wish to pursue graduate study.

- Doctorate in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
- Evidence of teaching ability.
- Evidence of scholarly activity.
