Job Duties

The VA Department of Motor Vehicles is hiring for a Sr. Technician (Data Integrity Work Leader) for a full-time position with its Data Integrity work unit in Richmond, VA.

The Sr. Technician provides leadership and operational support to the Data Integrity work unit. The role serves as the primary point of contact in the supervisor’s absence, oversees training of team members, and ensures operational goals are achieved. The Work Leader processes high-priority tasks, maintains data accuracy, resolves complex discrepancies, and fosters collaboration and operational efficiency. This includes processing data corrections, validating customer records, and maintaining the integrity of DMV systems while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges, process complex data, and ensure team compliance with DMV policies and state regulations. The Work Leader must balance leadership responsibilities with operational tasks in a high paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to train and guide team members effectively.
• Proficiency in data entry, auditing, and record maintenance with strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems or data management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
•Ability to respond to inquiries via fax, mail, email, and telephone.

Additional Considerations

•Familiarity with DMV automated systems; CSS, and/or MySelect.
