Job Duties:
The Division of Services will provide a quality program of individualized rehabilitation services, educational consultation, technical assistance, and instruction that will empower eligible individuals to achieve their desired levels of independence consistent with their abilities and informed choices.
We are seeking an Assistant Director of the Library and Resource Center to support the Director of Education and Library Services in managing the facility and staff on a daily basis. This position also oversees the provision of educational materials and adaptive equipment to eligible students, ensures customer-focused library services for eligible NLS patrons, and provides support to Virginia Subregional Libraries, Virginia school systems, and Early Intervention programs.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Additional responsibilities include:
- Completing duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Supervisory experience, including mentoring staff/volunteers and delegating tasks to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Training/experience in storekeeping, inventory control.
- Experienced with automated database, data management tools, as well as migrating databases.
- Training and/or experience in networks and microcomputers.
- Experience with technical support.
- Knowledge of microcomputers, technology, hardware and software.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of inventory control methods.
Ability/Skills:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Technical and electronic knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals.
