We believe museum inclusion means learning together alongside classmates, friends, and families through engaging experiences offered across multiple modes, media, and platforms.
Working under the guidance of the Community Engagement Coordinator, the intern will help expand the Museum’s outreach to new and existing communities. Responsibilities include auditing accessibility tools and making recommendations, researching and attending community cultural events, and strengthening the Museum’s community network database. The intern will also gather insights on community needs and produce a meaningful document to inform future outreach and engagement goals.
All Summer Interns receive an insider view of museum careers while building leadership skills and hands-on experience. The internship includes meetings with senior leaders, direct project work, professional development opportunities, participation in science and museum “Career Exploration Breakfast” presentations, and valuable networking experiences.
