About The Position:
The Program Consultant Senior for the Compliance Division is responsible for administration of Fraud Investigations through analysis and interpretation of state and federal laws and regulations. Supervision of statewide operations to maintain state and federal compliance related to Fraud; and will provide direct support to the local departments of social services through the compliance division in the state Department of Social Services.
Key areas of responsibility included: communication and collaboration, fraud investigation, case management, policy guidance and program administration, training and development, and data systems and technical support.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have demonstrated:
• Ability to communicate, negotiate, and advise on matters that are highly complex and sensitive in nature.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to fraud as it relates to human services programs and state budget development and monitoring.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of investigative policy and procedures; public assistance programs; legal proceedings; collection methods; program policies and regulations; fraud-related terminology; basic human behavior; social problems and resources; and databases and reports related to public assistance and fraud programs.
• Analytical skills to include gathering and analyzing data for significance and trends; and manipulating data contained in financial systems into clear, concise management report. To include experience using a computerized tracking system for storage and retrieval of information or data.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, decision-makers and stakeholders.
Experience coordinating and managing complex projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
Additional Considerations
Relevant knowledge of or experience in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties of the position.
