Job Duties:
VRS Investment Decision Support (IDS) Team is seeking an Intern with primary responsibilities in data analysis, development, and improving existing processes. The Intern will contribute to ongoing projects and ad hoc requests as well as assist with creating and updating documentation.
Additional Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Meet with both Investment team and IDS team members to discuss areas of improvement; gather data to identify areas of process improvement
- Provide support to internal teams by assisting with data gathering, analysis, and report development
- Design workflows and process strategies to improve business performance
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for business and technical processes such as data flows and operational systems
- Special projects at the direction of the Decision Systems Analyst – IDS
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- At a minimum, the Intern will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a technical field (from an accredited college or university)
- Experience working with SQL, python, or similar coding language
- Experience with reporting or data visualization tools
- Experience with improving business and technical processes
The successful candidate must also have the following key competencies: ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects, attention to detail and accuracy, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a professional, positive demeanor.
Additional Considerations:
- Familiarity with investments data
- Experience with robotic process automation tools such as Power Automate.

Currently, this position has a hybrid work schedule - requiring work in the office three days per week, and work remotely two days per week. The selected candidate must be able to work in the office any day of the week as required by the manager, and per the agreed upon internship schedule. *This is a temporary/wage position; therefore, benefits are not provided.*
