Job Duties
The Mid-Level Giving Manager plays a vital role in cultivating and strengthening relationships with mid level donors who contribute between $2,500 and $9,999 annually to The 1607 Society. This position focuses on engaging supporters through personalized outreach, thoughtful stewardship, and strategic cultivation designed to deepen their connection to the organization and inspire increased philanthropic investment. The Manager oversees a defined portfolio of mid level donors and prospects, identifies individuals with the capacity for greater giving, and collaborates closely with the Director of the Annual Fund to ensure seamless donor movement and aligned messaging. Responsibilities include managing ongoing communication, supporting Society events, and maintaining accurate and timely records in Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar fundraising CRM. The Manager helps drive donor retention, gift upgrades, and the overall success of the mid level giving program through consistent relationship building and measurable engagement activities. The Manager collaborates within a supportive, mission driven Development team committed to shared goals and donor centered fundraising.
Minimum Qualifications
• Fundraising experience and knowledge of fundraising practices
• Demonstrated skills relating to donor recruitment, cultivation, and stewardship
• Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge NXT)
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Either possess or rapidly acquire knowledge of the Jamestown Yorktown Foundation and its programs
• Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff and management
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Transferable relationship building experience from sales, customer engagement, or community outreach will be considered.

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, or fundraising experience will be considered.
• Previous experience in a museum, nonprofit, or higher education fundraising environment preferred
• Experience with a fundraising database and donor portfolio management preferred
