seeking a direct service professional to fill the role of environmental health associate for
our environmental health program. If you want to be a part of a dynamic team and make a

What You'll Do:
As the Rabies Program Coordinator, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks, such as,
inputting documentation into the Environmental Health Database, maintaining records,
conducting investigations, verifying, and obtaining any missing data on exposure reports,
carrying out Confinement Releases within specified time frames and following department
protocols. This includes scheduling appointments with animal owners, monitoring confined
animals for their condition, conducting site visits, and appropriately documenting findings,
contacting and monitoring individuals undergoing post-exposure prophylaxis, as well as
generating correspondence related to this, collecting rabies specimens for shipment to
DCLS for testing, coordinating Rabies vaccination clinics, serving as a backup for the front
office, which involves data entry into the Environmental Health Database and responding
to calls in support of various EH Programs like Onsite Sewage Disposal, Private Wells,
Food, TES, and Migrant Labor Camps, fulfilling other duties as assigned by your
supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Skills in composition of reports, data entry and effective communication

Proficient in basic computer software programs

Ability to conduct inspections and investigations in all areas of environmental health, to work outdoors and perform moderately strenuous physical labor during all seasons

Skills in problem solving essential

Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds

A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle
while conducting business on behalf of the agency
