Job Duties

The College of Agriculture - Cooperative Extension & Agricultural Research Station provides programs and services to improve the educational and socio-economic well-being of students, families, and communities—focusing on excellence through integrated instruction, research and extension programs.

This position will serve as the Operations Coordinator to assist the Director and Asst. Director of the Small Farm Outreach Program (SFOP) to coordinate operational services and business management to meet program needs. Key objectives are to develop, sustain and improve administration functions and operations while maintaining compliance in the College of Agriculture.

Minimum Qualifications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate should possess knowledge of major College of Ag, Cooperative Extension, Small Farm Outreach Program functions.

Skill in the use of personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, presentation and graphic applications.

Skill in report writing, developing and delivering reports and materials to manage Program business operations.

Demonstrated ability to work with small, and large, multi-faceted teams to include but not limited to Faculty, Staff, and Stakeholders;

Ability to plan, develop and implement Program business operations to establish and maintain close working relationships with a broad variety of individuals, groups and organizations;

Ability to develop, market and promote program goals and objectives.

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and communication with individuals and groups with both written and oral effectiveness.

Ability to comprehend and follow university policies and guidelines and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

 

Additional Considerations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Five years of Business Administration experience in Higher Education or closely related field.

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

Minimum of 1-3 years leading teams, managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly productive fast paced work environment.
