Job Duties

To direct and develop the clinical and administrative operation for Extended Rehab Services according to accreditation guidelines. All Services are provided according to the needs and preferences of adult individuals, taking into account age and diagnoses-specific issues. This position is also responsible for coordinating he performance improvement services of the unit. This position with supervise the Program Directors for Geriatrics and Acute Admissions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills across a variety of levels in the organization.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical, administrative, and accreditation/licensing
requirements (TJC, CMS) for in-patient mental health programs.
• Knowledge of practice/principles of mental health assessment, psychiatric
rehabilitation and treatment of individuals with serious mental illness.
• Knowledge of age specific population clinical needs.
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and ability to apply them to
customer service framework of healthcare.
• Ability to supervise staff.
• Ability to develop and evaluate policies and procedures.
• Analytical skills.
• Knowledge of fundamental principles of performance management.

Additional Considerations

• Prefer advanced degree in mental health field or equivalent combination of advanced
training and experience.
• Strongly prefer experience administering hospital mental health program; may
substitute experience administering major component of program.
• Strongly prefer advanced or Master’s degree in behavioral health field.
• Strongly prefer experience administrating or supervising inpatient mental health
program or major component of program.
