Job Duties
Serves as the Departments Office Administrative Manager and process routine procurements that do not normally require competition; support departmental goals and objectives; perform technical, research and work with the Director and other PS staff on program assessments. Maintain procurement policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements. Take lead position in the on-boarding of PS staff (includes completion of paperwork and training to get new staff prepared to work). Responds to basic inquiries from university staff and general public and provide advice/consultation in accordance with state procurement law, University procedures, and best practices. Independently develop, manage and analyze automated databases (including SBSD, EVA and Bonfire); compile spreadsheets, research data and statistical charts; and develop reports. Provide administrative and research support to the Director and other PS staff in day-to-day operations and processes as required/assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Significant knowledge and experience with spreadsheets and database software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) are required.
- Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment, including personal computers, is required.
- Knowledge and experience of automated financial and e-procurement systems is preferred. Knowledge and experience with governmental procurement law, policies and procedures is preferred.
- Experience in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing accordingly.
- Ability to work independently and to communicate in a highly professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge and experience of conducting departmental audits. Experience improving business processes
