Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is hiring for an IT Operations Liaison for a position within its Architecture Office at our headquarters location in Richmond, VA.
The IT Operations Liaison will work with and provide technical support to our IT Chief Architect and Agency IT Resource (AITR) by performing key tasks by placing focus on improving coordination of the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) activities and mapping those to the DMV IT Strategic Plan and other Agency Technology initiatives. The incumbent will partner with DMV business and IT stakeholders and Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) to deliver and optimize enterprise IT services that support agency programs and strategic initiatives. The position facilitates service coordination, performance management, and issue resolution while ensuring alignment with business needs and operational priorities. It also contributes to cost management and continuous improvement through analysis of service usage, performance trends, and vendor capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge and understanding of information technology infrastructure, applications, software and end user products and services
• Comprehensive business, strategic and relationship management skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of strategic planning activities
• Experience in leading, directing and managing resources
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions
• Experience facilitating the planning and implementation of IT solutions aligned to organizational goals and priorities
• Working experience presenting technical information to non-technical professionals
