Job Duties

  • Assist with providing excellent customer service to all customers and to provide support and administrative assistance to the ID Card Office and Ticket Center Office.
  • Creates ID Cards with accuracy while providing excellent customer service in a timely manner. Also, performs her desk duties efficiently making the customer the priority.
  • Responds to inquiries from patrons regarding account balance and general SpartanCard information with accuracy.
  • Copies materials, handles mail, files correspondence, and disseminate reports accordingly with neatness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment for the office.
  • Assists with reconciliations of e-Accounts, Off-Campus Account, Spartan Shield transactions, Commuter Meal Plan, Cashier's
  • Office and Student Accounts transactions and resident meal plans as required with accuracy, neatness, and timeliness.
  • Assists with collections from the PHIL machine.
  • Updates the website, policies and procedures and the SpartanCard training manual.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and resolving moderate problems associated with assigned systems, networks, software, and equipment as it relates to SpartanCard programs to include: the cash management center, drink and laundry vending, bookstore interface, and food services.
  • Assists with the Debit Card reimbursement process for students, campus departments and on campus vendors with accuracy and timeliness and recovers funds due to the university form vendors when appropriate. Assists with Orientation.
  • Performs other duties within the scope of this position as requested by the manager with accuracy and
    timeliness.
  • Serves as Cashier for the Ticket Center. Processes decals, parking fines, game and event tickets for the faculty, staff, students and the general public through the cash register, debit card, credit card and Ticketing machines.
  • Assembles all related documents for reconciliation and closes out cash register, debit card and credit card machines by balancing tape totals to cash on hand and the total credit card slips.
  • Prepares batches for Ticket Center by keying completed work in the system and reconciling register tape totals to computer printout.
  • Compiles completed documents for submission to the supervisor and assists with the preparation of bank deposits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school and some college level coursework in business or related field desirable or several years of increasingly
    responsible administrative assistant experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students and the public using patience and courtesy, and in a manner that reflects positively on the university.
