Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Food Service Tech II Lead to function as lead worker performing opening/closing responsibilities; utilize the CBORD system to perform daily office work; assist with assembly of patient trays, snacks and bag meals; clean dishes, trays, equipment and kitchen facilities; stock; and provide storeroom assistance in receiving/stocking, pre-portioning/product stocking; closing and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide work direction in clear, understandable terms and ensures tasks are understood by subordinates
- Completes all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Accurately weigh/measure ingredients and follow standardized recipes for products assigned, appropriately labeling/dating finished products
- Chill cooked recipe items to appropriate safe temperature within the appropriate timeframe and document all temperatures on appropriate HACCP log sheets
- Monitor the temperature of food items and make adjustments as necessary to maintain proper temperatures
- Ensure all incoming items to be inspected for quality, freshness, appropriate temperature and shipments verified with receipts
- Train new workers in sanitation/dish room job responsibilities/cleaning procedures and techniques
- Accurately serves food and beverage items in proper amounts by weighing correctly
- Clean, sanitize and store all pots and pans allowing them to air dry according to the VDH and Department guidelines
- Assist with preparation of food items for Cafeteria according to recipes and guidance of supervisor
