Job Duties

The Virginia Military Institute Infirmary is seeking a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse. This is a salaried 10-month position with full state benefits. Duties include but are not limited to:

Job Duties:

• Provide nursing services in a fast-paced student health clinic for 1,600 students.
• Conduct initial patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Communicate with on-call medical providers as needed.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working independently.
• Must be proficient in computer skills.
• Requires graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Excellent nursing assessment and communication skills.
• Comfortable in urgent nursing care of adolescent patients.

Additional Considerations

Must be able to start at the beginning of August 2026. Interviews will be held in the middle of June

The hours are 7am-7pm including every other weekend. Most major holidays off during the academic year.
