Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is the state’s lead conservation agency, and it takes a diverse agency to conserve resources for a diverse commonwealth.

Minimum Qualifications
- Skill in the use of a personal computer.
- Skill in evaluating the quality and quantity of report personnel, as well as providing performance feedback to direct report personnel.
- Skill in overseeing the safe use of tools, material, and equipment associated with landscape and building maintenance.
- Skill in leading work requiring the performance of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds keeping tasks.
- As applicable, ability to physically meet the requirements of Park Ranger and perform labor related to tasks in this position description.
Additional Considerations
- Demonstrated experience in the supervising of grounds keeping, housekeeping, maintenance, construction or other work related to upkeep and operation of recreational areas.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Experience overseeing workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and safety training.
- Previous work experience within parks and recreation or similar environment.
- Previous work experience which demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to compose emails, correspondence and reports.
