Job Duties

Under the direction and guidance of the Investigative Support Supervisor, this position is responsible for collection and analysis of investigative data and information to support Unit investigations. Position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of files, records, systems and electronic data. Additionally, the position provides support to the unit by gathering targeted information, conducting research, and querying statistical data to create reports and presentations that deliver analysis and insights to stakeholders. Additional responsibilities may include equipment, vehicle and inventory support and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Unit Chief.

Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency in data analysis, reporting and research techniques, Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Additional Considerations

Experience working in a law enforcement or investigative support role. Virginia Notary Public or ability to obtain upon employment. Experience in the investigative process and analytical applications used with automated information systems.
