Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is hiring for an OnBase Platform Lead Engineer, for a position within its IT Services Administration at our headquarters location in Richmond, VA. This position is open to current DMV employees only.
This position provides senior-level technical leadership and enterprise oversight for the agency’s OnBase content management platform. The role ensures the effective design, administration, governance, integration, and lifecycle delivery of enterprise content and workflow solutions that support agency operations, digital modernization, compliance, and service delivery.
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. In addition, DMV serves a wide array of businesses, including dealers, fuels tax customers, rental companies, driving schools, other state agencies, local governments, and non-profit organizations. Minimum Qualifications
• Expert knowledge of enterprise content management, document management, workflow automation, and records-supporting solution design.
• Expert knowledge of OnBase administration, configuration, workflow capabilities, forms/content processes, document lifecycle concepts, and platform operations.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise systems architecture, integration methods, security controls, release management, and production support practices.
• Strong knowledge of business analysis, process redesign, requirements translation, and solution lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of data structures, reporting, application interfaces, authentication/authorization concepts, and enterprise support models.
• Knowledge of governance, auditability, records alignment, privacy, and internal control principles relevant to document-centric systems.
Additional Considerations
• Experience supporting public sector, regulated, or highly auditable environments.
