Job Duties
Facilitates communication of clinical and administrative issues to nursing and hospital administration. Assures implementation of Master Staffing Plan. Coordinates hospital services on assigned shifts to ensure safe and therapeutic care and treatment. Appropriately utilizes community resources, communicating pertinent information related to patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed as a Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Demonstrates skills and abilities in assessment, communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of population specific medical and psychiatric care; ability to manage medical and psychiatric emergencies; and multiple tasks. Demonstrates competencies as defined on Competency Assessment.
•A fingerprint-based criminal history check will be required of the finalist candidate for the position under Va. Code 2.2-12-1.1
Additional Considerations
Psychiatric, mental health, or long-term care experience preferred.
Experience in a supervisory role in a hospital or nursing home setting desired
BSN from an accredited college/university highly desirable
