The Department of Criminal Justice Services is seeking a collaborative and innovative team player to serve as a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist in Richmond, Virginia. This position will be responsible for providing support to the agency throughout the recruitment process. What you will do:
● Coordinate recruitment and selection activities to include: utilization of the Recruitment Management System in the hiring process; screen applications; schedule interviews; communicate with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process
● Establish/maintain recruitment files
● Prepare interview packets/documentation
● Coordinate records management for recruitment and position files
● Pull various reports and provide analysis and recommendations as needed
● Prepare orientation packets for new hires and order publications
● Assist with coordination of special employee programs and events to include service awards
● Assist with other HR related areas     

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with recruitment and selection, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination.
• General understanding of human resources policies and employment regulations related to hiring.
• Experience providing professional and courteous customer service to applicants, hiring managers, senior leadership, and internal staff throughout the recruitment process.
• Experience in reviewing applications against minimum qualifications and identifying candidates for referral.
• Ability to work with applicant tracking systems and maintain accurate recruitment records.
• Ability to follow established recruitment guidelines, checklists, and procedures consistently.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple job postings, timelines, and administrative tasks.
• Experience managing confidential information as it relates to personal data.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a recruitment team in a fast-paced office environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to think strategically and cross culturally, and independently implement new initiatives and projects.
• Ability to articulate, both orally and in written form, clear and concise program objectives and goals and summarize achievements of programs in reports and other documents as requested.     
• Documented experience working as an active, contributing team member, as well as an independent and self-motivated employee.
• Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines, handle multiple assignments, changing priorities, and ensure timeliness and quality of completed assignments.

• Experience with the utilization of a Recruitment Management System.
• Experience utilizing PageUp's Talent Acquisition System.
• Experience establishing and maintaining recruitment files.
• Prior experience working in a Human Resources Office.
• Experience pulling various reports and providing analysis and recommendations as needed.
• Experience assisting with compiling and analyzing data to identify trends.
• Experience administering or assisting with Employee Recognition and/or Service Awards programs.

Interview candidates may be required to demonstrate the skills and abilities necessary for satisfactory performance of work. The candidate selected for the position must successfully complete a criminal background investigation and complete and submit a Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) which will be entered into the Federal E-Verify system to confirm identity and work authorization. The individual may also be responsible for submitting an annual Statement of Personal Economic Interest. In addition, the selected candidate who begins original employment or re-employment in this position must serve a 12-month probationary period effective from the date of employment. The starting salary range is $68,000 to $75,000 plus the state’s benefits package.
