Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking an Intake and Analysis Supervisor to lead the Intake & Analysis Work Center within the Operations Support Unit of the Law Enforcement Division!
This position is only open to current DMV employees.
The Law Enforcement Intake & Analysis Supervisor oversees the agency's Intake & Analysis Work Center, directing the initial review and assessment of investigation requests submitted by DMV employees, customers, and internal and external law enforcement partners. The incumbent ensures staff effectively monitor law enforcement requests and the Caliber RMS, and that all incoming requests are received, researched, analyzed, and routed to DMV law enforcement personnel in a timely manner.
In addition to operational oversight, this position performs data analysis and develops reports to support unit operations and decision-making. The incumbent is also responsible for procuring, managing, and issuing law enforcement equipment, uniforms, and external resources necessary to support investigative operations and organizational objectives.
DMV, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. Minimum Qualifications
• Working knowledge operations, principles and practices of office management, and of public administration practices.
• Skilled in the use of office equipment and personal computer, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service in a fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in speech and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data to reach logical conclusions, make recommendations, work independently, and deal courteously and tactfully with co-workers and the public.
• Considerable knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures,
• Considerable knowledge of performance management, process improvement principles, and HR management.
• Knowledge of data analysis and evaluation techniques and process improvement principles
• Considerable knowledge of managing non-cash assets, expenditures, and revenues.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external team members and customers.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate operational performance to ensure established goals and targets are met and develop strategies and implement operational strategies for improving performance.
• Ability to Lift 10-20lbs
• Provide guidance and mentor staff to achieve excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to assign and direct workflow of services to internal and external customers through appropriate staff planning and work prioritization.
• Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely.
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvements and prepare management reports.
• Ability to build working relationships, utilize staffs skills, conduct meetings, make presentations, and promote a team environment.
