For more than three decades, the Virginia Lottery has worked to build a strong reputation, one synonymous with providing fun, entertaining experiences and doing so responsibly and with integrity. Proceeds from traditional Lottery games support K-12 public education in Virginia. Taxes generated by sports wagering and casino gaming, which are regulated by the Lottery, benefit other priorities of the Commonwealth.
The Virginia Lottery is currently seeking a Sponsorships and Events Manager to join our Marketing Department.
The Sponsorships & Events Manager will oversee the strategy, day-to-day planning, and execution of Marketing sponsorships and in-person events with third-party partners.
This position will work closely with the Lottery’s media-buying partner to evaluate potential media sponsorship opportunities to estimate the value and return on investment for the Lottery. If the Lottery decides to establish a sponsorship with a partner, the Sponsorships & Events Manager will manage the execution of the sponsorship including but not limited to coordinating the development and delivery of creative assets and materials. The Sponsorships & Events Manager will work closely with the Lottery’s experiential marketing partner to develop event strategy, evaluate events along with developing the event footprint, staffing requirements, and premium item giveaways. This position would support the Communications & Customer Relations Department for community events and Sales Department for retailer events as needed.
