The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Innovation & Strategic Initiatives Coordinator in the Chief of Staff Office.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
This position serves as a strategic lead responsible for advancing organizational excellence across the Agency.
The Innovation & Strategic Initiatives Coordinator is within the Chief of Staff Office, and partners with agency leadership to align strategic priorities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen organizational performance and fosters a culture of operational innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and eliminate operational inefficiencies.
This position is responsible for improving the productivity of DMAS employees by assessing agency-wide developmental needs and implementing learning solutions targeted at employee needs.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the agency’s strategic plan and workforce initiatives.
Facilitate cross-functional workgroups focused on organizational improvement and innovation.
Design and oversee continuous quality improvement initiatives for the workforce to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
Develop dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor agency workforce progress.
Analyze organizational trends, operational data, agency feedback, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Monitor progress toward strategic objectives and support organizational change management efforts by developing implantation strategies, communication plans, and engagement activities.
The business needs for this position have in office requirements to include but are not limited to attending external stakeholders’ meetings, training, and occasional conferences.

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Considerable experience within healthcare, Government or public sector organization.
Considerable experience serving as a project manager in government or complex organizations for Executive Leadership.
Considerable experience of strategic planning, business process improvement, and organizational change management for Executive Leadership.
Considerable experience analyzing complex agency cross-functional and operational issues and translating findings into strategic recommendations.
Considerable experience facilitation, communication, and presentation for Executive level professionals.
Considerable experience with computer software including Microsoft Office.
Considerable experience with interpreting and applying public federal and state laws/regulations.
Considerable experience in meeting deadlines.
Considerable experience managing internal/external stakeholder relationships and coordinating cross functional collaboration across multiple organizations.
