Job Duties

The Virginia Military Institute Infirmary is seeking a full-time, night-shift Registered Nurse. This is a salaried 10-month position with full state benefits. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Provide nursing services in a fast-paced student health clinic for 1,600 students.
• Conduct initial patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Communicate with on-call medical providers as needed.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as needed.
•Must be able to start at the beginning of August 2026.
•The hours are 7 pm - 7 am, including every other weekend. Most major holidays are off during the academic year.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be comfortable working independently within the scope of RN licensure.
Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Excellent nursing assessment and communication skills.
Active and Unrestricted RN License in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
