Job Duties

To provide patients with professional recreational therapy programming which is goal-oriented and directed toward skills-building on the following domains of functioning: mental, physical, psychological, emotional, social, spiritual and/or sensory. Rehab Resource Coordinator is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and serves as the liaison between the team, unit staff and Centralized Rehabilitation Services. Conducts Rehab Assessments with individuals ages 18 and older to determine treatment needs and preferences, develops a treatment plan, and coordinates referrals for treatment groups in Education, Recreation, Vocation, Independent Living Skills and/or Wellness. Facilitates rehabilitation services through group work and individualized sessions. Facilitates Rehab Groups in conjunction with the needs and schedule of the Rehab Department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy required, and ability to obtain CTRS.

Additional Considerations

• Prefer ability to conduct MH assessments and to develop effective treatment plans with written, measurable and obtainable goals, objectives, and interventions with all
individuals served.
• Prefer ability to work with all members of a multidisciplinary treatment team and serve as Rehab Liaison with professional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Experience in developing and implementing Rehabilitation programs with special
populations preferred.
• Prefer previous work experience in a public mental health program/facility.
• Prefer certification as a CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner), ADC, or
CTRS.
