Job Duties
Expectations are clear, well communicated, and relate to the goals and objectives of the department or unit;
Staff receive frequent, constructive feedback, including interim evaluations as appropriate;
Staff have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish goals;
The requirements of the performance planning and evaluation system are met and evaluations are completed by established deadlines with proper documentation;
Performance issues are addressed and documented as they occur.
Safety issues are reviewed and communicated to assure a safe and healthy workplace.
Periodically inspect Quality of work being accomplished including the productivity of subordinates and advising Supervisor of both negative and positive issues that may reflect on employee performance and the overall cleanliness of the facility.
Maintain assigned area of the facility in a clean and attractive appearance. Promote sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection.
Make adjustments as needed to procedures, sequence and resources depending upon what is available.
Modify plans of action in order to accomplish the unit’s assigned responsibilities because of changing needs, emergencies, seasonal issues and demands.
Responsible for providing appropriate on the job training for new employees assigned to his/her unit and insures that compliance is maintained in the appropriate use of all cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure that departmental staff adheres to all facility policies and procedures.
Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Will be on call during assigned weekends to assist Facilitators and be available to visit the facility if needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of housekeeping experience with at least one year of supervisory experience. Knowledge of MS Programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Additional Considerations
High School Diploma preferred. Must be able to speak, read, write and communicate effectively.
