In addition, the selected candidate may be tasked with reviewing activities of outside counsel, interpret statutes, determine liability, and negotiate settlements. In-state travel, including infrequent overnight travel, may also be necessary to assess claims submitted to the Department and meet with customers. This position would also assist in educational events, such as agency training, which could include public speaking.

• Considerable skill and proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Experience handling confidential materials and communications.
