Job Duties
This is a six (6) week paid training program (up to 29 hours a week) including classroom and clinical settings with goal of successful completion of state certification exam and therefore remain at DMVCC as an employed Certified Nursing Assistant. The classroom hours will be Monday-Friday, 9:00am-2:30pm and clinical hours will be 6:45am-3:15pm.
Participant must attend class as scheduled. Complete assignments as scheduled. Interacts with instructor (s), peers, staff, and resident in a professional and courteous manner. Participates in and completes clinical assignments as scheduled. Follows facility policies and procedures, and direction of instructor (s) and supervisors. Upon completion of class, shifts, will be offered based on facility needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must be highly motivated, thoughtful, considerate of others as a team. Must have a steady work record. High school graduate desired. Some type of experience working in a healthcare facility or working with elderly desired.
