Job Duties
The Southern Virginia Higher Education Center is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Student Services Administrator for the Office of Student Services to meet the needs of current and potential students. This position will assist students with career exploration, educational program information, and program registration. The position will assist with all activities of the SVHEC Testing and Assessment Center to include WorkKeys, PRAXIS, and Pearson Vue testing, assist the Manager of Student Services with assigned duties as well as assist the department and agency in accomplishing the goals of the SVHEC Strategic Plan.
Please note that the selected candidate will be required to obtain certifications for proctoring Pearson VUE, PRAXIS, and WorkKeys exams within six months of employment.
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge and experience of office practices, procedures, and techniques. Working knowledge of utilizing a student information system. Demonstrated ability to prepare and compile reports. Demonstrated ability to provide customer service to internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to use word processing, spreadsheet/database applications and presentation software. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Experience in exam proctoring. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with sensitive and confidential data. Must be able to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work in a team setting. High school graduate or equivalent.
Additional Considerations
Pearson VUE or other test proctor certification.
