Job Duties

The Biology Department at the Virginia Military Institute invites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time, in-person, instructor position.

This position will be responsible for teaching one section of Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II (lecture and lab) and Core Curriculum introductory biology courses for non-majors (General Biology I and II, lecture and lab).

Class sizes are usually 16-24 cadets.

Teaching load is three courses with laboratories per semester.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirements are a master’s degree or at least 18 graduate hours in the biological sciences or related field.

Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.

Additional Considerations

Military experience is not required. Full-time faculty at VMI wear uniforms and adhere to military customs during the academic year.
