Job Duties
The Virginia Museum of the Civil War at the New Market Battlefield State Historical Park (Shenandoah County), is accepting applications for part-time Visitor Services Technicians. Duties include orienting visitors, operating a cash register/credit card terminal and customer service. Hours: 8:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m., Hours worked as needed by management, weekend work required.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Requires interest in history & strong
communications skills;
• Enthusiasm for working with the public
• Basic computer skills
• Familiarity with the POS system
• Neat business like appearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in retail sales
• Poise, reliability & friendly, professional
manner
• Proven experience with customer service.
