Pay Rate: $16.00 per hhour

*If you are a PSCC Student and eligible for the Student Employment Program, you will be paid on experience and the rates are $14.00 (no experience), $15.00 (6 months experience) and $16.00 (9 months experience)*.

Work Hours: 20 hours per week

Position Summary:
The overall purpose of this job is to provide excellent customer service to students and other parties regarding account balances and accurately process and receipt payments on customers’ accounts in accordance with TBR policy and state law.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Receipt payments to include determination of customers account number, charge type with code number, and payment type by using Banner or Touchnet cashier system when applicable. Perform data entry in student system and print receipt. Separate documents and distribute.

- Provide customer service for customers in-person, on the phone and through the Student Accounts email address. Must be able to review student account to determine correct answers for questions regarding payments, account balance, tuition and fee charges, refunds, 1098T’s, local scholarships and other inquiries.

- Prepare daily deposits of receipted payments.

- Apply fee waivers and discount payments to student accounts in student system. Enter waiver or discount amount and reconcile to Banner system reports. Verify document accuracy.

- Scan and index departmental documentation accurately and timely.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to problem solve

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize; will need to be able to start and stop projects while addressing phones/assisting students, employees and other stakeholders at the counter, on the phone or by email.

- Ability to apply policies and procedures to various situations/scenarios while meeting needs of students, employees and other constituents.

- Ability to learn and be able to switch between multiple computing platforms, software and web applications.
