Job Summary:
Manages all aspects of the Volunteer State Community College foundation donor records and accounts to: ensure up-to-date, accurate information on donors and prospective donors; ensure that all contributions are properly accounted for within foundation records and in the business Office; help to maintain excellent communication with donors and volunteers; and provide accurate, up-to-date reports to the Vice President for Advancement and the Foundation Board of Trustees. Performs other job related duties relative to the area of responsibility.
Job Duties:
Maintain donor/community integrity by effective use of donor software and data base management. Maintains a detailed and accurate accounting of foundation income and expenses. Works with the college Business Office to ensure accurate record keeping. Assist Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director of College Foundation with developing and managing the Foundation budget. Maintains confidentiality of information. Processes computer generated reports as necessary; reviews for accuracy. Balances cash and receipts; prepares deposits; Monitors, balances, and reconciles various accounts. Monthly reconciliation. Work with auditors as needed. Assists with all fundraising events as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree.
Three years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Knowledge of Banner and Raisers Edge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher.
Excellent bookkeeping skills and procedures of financial record keeping and reporting.
Experience in reconciling financial data.
Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment.
Self-directed, capable of taking initiative.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the college and its mission, procedures and processes.
Ability to evaluate situations, solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative relations with students, faculty, staff, administrations, volunteers and members of the community.
Pay Rate: $42,031 - $50,437 annual salary depending on experience
