POSITION SUMMARY
This position is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Biology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. This position will be based on the Clarksville campus with teaching assignments primarily at the Clarksville campus. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide accurate and updated course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check college email and departmental mailbox.
Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, and grade submissions. Administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Serve as academic advisor to students as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Biology, a related life science or related professional/advanced clinical degree.
(OR) Master’s degree in another discipline with 18 graduate hours in Biology, a related life science or related professional/ advanced clinical degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Collegiate level teaching experience.
Ability to teach Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Rate of Pay: $41,708.00 - $52,136.00 depending on experience
