Job Summary
This is a temporary position reporting to the Career Exploration Lab Coordinator. The Career Exploration Lab Technician is under general supervision.
Job Duties
- Directly supports mobile unit activities.
- Manage and maintain a wide range of electronic test/repair equipment including (but not limited to): PACE rework stations, Mantis Microscopes, Analog/digital oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, analog/digital signal generators, digital multimeters, analog multimeters, laboratory trainers.
- Monitor and resupply inventory of laboratory consumables.
- Troubleshoot equipment including software and hardware.
- Checks and tests equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Work up to maximum of 16 hours per week.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related work experience.
- Experience with managing inventory
- Experience with computer hardware / software maintenance
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Skills in solving problems excellently.
- Skills in communication and interpersonal.
- Ability to repair, maintain, and install microcomputer equipment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- A background check will be required for the successful candidate.
