POSITION SUMMARY
This a nine-month faculty position responsible for leading the Paralegal Studies program and delivering quality instruction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach day and/or evening courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Provide leadership for the Paralegal Studies program. Build partnerships with external stakeholders and maintain relationships with the Paralegal Studies Advisory Committee. Maintain compliance with American Bar Association guidelines and submit required reports as requested. Work with adjunct program faculty to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabus prior to the first day of class.
Regularly check your College email and your departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours, except on weekends. Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines. Advise students within the pre-law, paralegal studies and law office technology areas. Oversee and supervise legal internships and provide assistance to students seeking a legal internship. Promote the Paralegal Studies program within the community.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Juris Doctorate
3 Years Related Industry Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Collegiate level teaching experience with program management experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the ethical use in the legal and educational environment.

Rate of Pay: $41,708.00 - $52,136.00 depending on experience
