The Admissions Clerk and Instructor Support reports to the Vice President and manages the admissions process and ensures the effective and efficient operation of the admissions review process while also performing office tasks to support student services and instructors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform reception duties to support the student services office (e.g. answer phones, greet customers, etc.).

Assign available seats to prospective students to ensure maximum enrollment in programs.

Contact alternative students to fill vacancies in programs.

Update, maintain, and track student admission waitlist.

Notify instructors of incoming students.

Enter student data into the online information management system and maintain the student filing system.

Support instructors by creating timely reports for student attendance and exit dates, quickly processing student exits, and assisting instructors with the online information management system. This includes providing general instructional support and assisting with online curriculum (e.g. AWS, iCAR, Pivot Points, etc.).

Coordinate and lead new student “Passport Day” ensuring all new student forms have been completed and appropriate staff are in attendance.

Conduct program audits at the end of every term to determine what credentials have been earned.

Process student certificates, diplomas, and transcripts.

Provide tours for prospective students and parents, as needed.

Maintain exit data and all related reports.

Act as a liaison between TCAT Athens instructors and Follett to ensure course materials are accurate.

Perform necessary inventory checks and reports.

Support community outreach events to promote TCAT Athens to the broader public.

Supports recruitment efforts through high school visits, college and career fairs, open house, and other related events.

Maintains a working knowledge of institutional and federal policies as well as COE accreditation standards as they apply to student services (e.g. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VI, Title IX).

Prioritize projects, attending to multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting institutional and departmental deadlines.

Communicate professionally and tactfully with all members of the campus community. Fosters collegial relationships within and outside the department.

Perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to optimize peak work periods.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree from a regionally accredited college.

Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Must be able to pass a background check.
-
Two-Five (2-5) years of relevant office experience.

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
