The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Pulaski is accepting applications for the position of Practical Nursing Instructor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in nursing required.
- Current TN Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 3 years current hospital and/or nursing home experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BSN preferred.
- Teaching experience preferred.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Teach full course curriculum; develop course outlines, lesson plans, lectures, and exams.
- Supervise student’s clinical experiences as scheduled.
- Provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required.
- Maintain confidential, accurate, and complete student records.
- Participate in recruitment of students and placement of graduates.
- Cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to businesses and agencies hiring Allied Health students; establish and maintain good public relations with the school’s general public.
- Actively seek potential clinical sites for the provision of clinical training.
- Maintain ongoing competencies required for RN licensure by participation in continuing education opportunities.
SALARY:
In accordance with guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents and the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology.
