Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Practical Nursing Instructor for the Henderson/Chester County Instructional Service Center.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing required. Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
B.S.N preferred
Teaching experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the Practical Nursing curriculum and Tennessee Board of Nursing standards.
• Confer with administration to gain knowledge and better understand changes in policies, procedures, and technologies.
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that support student learning outcomes.
• Select or develop teaching aids, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and reference materials.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, progress evaluations, and clinical performance.
• Responsible for student placement and assisting with studentfollow-up.
• Cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; establish and maintain good public relations with the institution’s general public.
• Participate in the recruitment of students.
• Participate in curriculum development, program evaluation, and accreditation activities.
• Supervise students in clinical environments, ensuring safe and effective patient care practices.

• Demonstrate a commitment to staying current in the nursing field.
