Coordinator of Teaching and Learning, Full Time
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Athens is accepting applications for a full-time Coordinator of Teaching and Learning. Under the supervision of the Vice President and direction from college administration, the Coordinator of Teaching and Learning will support faculty members across all campuses with guidance and training related to teaching, classroom management, curriculum development and revision, and other topics related to instruction. The Teaching, Learning, & Compliance Coordinator also assists instructors with instructional and program accreditation efforts and implementation of new program curricula and/or current program curricula revisions. This includes ensuring compliance with institutional, state, federal, and accreditation standards along with ensuring accessibility and quality. This position will work a minimum of 37.5 hours a week.
Salary Range: $46,595 - $60,573
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university (master’s degree preferred).
• Five (5) years of successful experience in education, business, or industry. Supervisory and/or project management experience preferred. Administrative or instructor/faculty experience at post-secondary institution is highly preferred.
• Experience training or teaching is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred.

• Working knowledge of the principles, philosophy, techniques, and methods of technical education and individualized instruction preferred.
• Must possess the organizational and planning skills necessary to be an effective administrator/leader.

• Strong computer skills utilizing a wide variety of software applications including, but not limited to databases, spreadsheets, word processing, email, online instruction programs, etc. Must have ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs and audio-visual equipment.

GENERAL DUTIES:
• Onboards and provides Banner process support for new faculty and continuing support for existing faculty.
• Use various methods and resources to train new faculty to be successful instructors.
• Maintain curricula, syllabi, program certification and student certification inventories for all programs across all campuses.
• Guide and assist instructors in developing curricula and syllabi for individual programs ensuring a common format for syllabi is used across all programs.
• Work with instructors to develop Pace and Progress timelines for completing each course in the program within the stated customary hours. The objective is to provide students with a schedule for completing each course within the customary hours of the course, allowing the programs to be completed within the listed program length.
• Assist instructors with D2L (online learning management system) by providing coaching and/or training, and ensure online content is current and updated when curriculum changes.
• Ensure all instructional materials meet accessibility standards and provide training and support to ensure accessibility standards are met.
• Conduct recurring training and/or professional development classes for all faculty members at all campuses.
• Work with instructors to develop tests and scoring rubrics for a variety of curriculum assignment types to ensure accurate assessment of student progress. Coach instructors on advising methods regarding student progress.
• Assist instructors with implementation of new program curricula and/or current program curricula revisions.
• Ensure instructors have implemented program and/or curriculum changes.
• Assist the Vice President with COE compliance.
• Coordinates, conducts, and maintains anonymous student surveys (each term) for the annual evaluation of faculty.
• Coordinates and maintains the Perkins annual program.
• Assists with the coordination of the dual enrollment programs as directed by TCAT administration, including competency reviews for cross-referenced K-12 to postsecondary credit and dual enrollment instructor training.
• Work with instructors on national certifications for the program areas.
• Work with instructors to research equipment needs.
• Check printed information materials, including the website, for up-to-date information. Assist with revisions to informational material and the website required as a result of program and/or curriculum changes as needed.
• Travel will be required across all TCAT Athens campuses. Other travel may be required.
