REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of successful experience in an educational, workforce development, or student services setting with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Three (3) years successful experience in the healthcare field and work with higher education experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in student recruitment, enrollment management, or admissions with a record of meeting or exceeding enrollment goals.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to effectively engage prospective students, enrolled students, families, and community partners.
- Must possess strong organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective administrator. Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and a welcoming presence with students, coworkers, and the public.
- Exhibit high effort, dedication, and commitment; operate within an efficient organizational structure while demonstrating trustworthiness and responsible professional behavior.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Campus Administration & Operations
- Serve as the primary administrator for the TCAT Fentress County campus, reporting directly to the President and ensuring alignment of campus goals and daily operations with the President’s vision and college policies.
- Supervise day-to-day campus operations, including evening programs, facility scheduling, and coordination of campus activities.
- Serve as the primary campus point of contact, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, prospective students, faculty, staff, governmental entities, and the general public.
- Support compliance with college policies, Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) policies, COE accreditation standards, and applicable safety regulations.
- Provide budget information and expenditure tracking as needed; collaborate with the President on resource planning.
- Collaborate with Adult Education programs, community colleges, and workforce development partners to expand educational pathways.
- Participate in campus program advisory committee meetings and communicate pertinent information to campus faculty and staff.
- Ensure all campus activities are conducted in compliance with FERPA and applicable TBR policies.
Student Services, Recruitment & Campus Engagement
- Champion a culture of exceptional customer service from first inquiry through graduation; serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, families, employers, and the community, ensuring a welcoming and responsive campus environment.
- Lead all student recruitment activities, including outreach to high schools, community organizations, and workforce agencies; represent TCAT Fentress County at college fairs, expos, and community events; coordinate campus tours, open houses, and information sessions to meet enrollment targets for adult and dual enrollment students.
- Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, CTE directors, and community partners to sustain a consistent enrollment pipeline; track recruitment data and recommend strategies to improve conversion rates.
- Advise currently enrolled students on academic performance, attendance, program requirements, and career pathways; coordinate referrals to tutoring, counseling, financial aid, and community resources; implement early intervention strategies for at-risk students.
- Support student success initiatives aligned with performance funding goals; maintain accurate student records and advising documentation in compliance with FERPA; coordinate dual enrollment communication with high school partners and families.
- Serve as the primary advisor for TCAT Fentress County student organizations, including SkillsUSA and other recognized groups; support chapter development, coordinate regional and state competitions, and mentor student leaders in professional development and community involvement.
- Plan and facilitate campus engagement events, student appreciation activities, and leadership development opportunities; promote student organization activities through campus communications and community outreach.
Professional Development
- Acquire, maintain, and apply knowledge of current best practices in student services, workforce education, and campus administration.
- Attend scheduled college and department professional development activities, in-service trainings, and TBR-required programs.
- Support and participate in related professional organizations, including those focused on student affairs and workforce development.
Service to the College & Community
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of college personnel as assigned.
- Participate in accreditation, institutional assessment, and performance funding processes.
- Provide input and assistance with institutional planning and budgets.
- Attend convocation, commencement exercises, and mandatory college programs.
- Develop and maintain positive, cooperative relationships with colleagues across all TCAT campuses.
- Work to meet and exceed COE accreditation standards and TBR performance expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or administration, on and off campus.
