The Enrollment Recruiter provides admissions and enrollment services to prospective students and their families through the coordination of a campus tour program, communicating new student orientation information, high school visits, dual enrollment, and targeted recruitment of special populations among other programs. 

Essential Functions

  • Work as part of Admissions and Recruiting team to deliver high-quality customer service for students seeking enrollment services on campuses and throughout the service region.
  • In collaboration with the Enrollment Services team members, develop and implement recruitment strategies that increase student outreach and strengthen the college's visibility at regional events.
  • Maintain assigned recruitment territory including a visitation schedule, presentations, and events as needed. 
  • Develop, coordinate and expand activities related to new student on-boarding communications and services. Collaborate to develop, refine, deliver, and evaluate on boarding for new students.
  • Collaborate with Director of High School Partnerships to coordinate dual enrollment communications between college enrollment services office, business office, extended campuses, academic divisions, and public/private/home school staff and students in the assigned recruitment territory.
  • Under direction of the Director of Admissions and Recruiting, use available technology for data collection, analysis and outreach for the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of students.
  • Initiate and develop relationships with high school administrators, counselors, teachers, and other members of the educational community.
  • Communicate accurate information regarding College programs, courses, resources, and career options.
  • Manage ongoing strategic communications with prospective students, parents and guests, high school and independent counselors, as well as college constituents, via email, letters, telephone, scheduled appointments, tours, and other media.
  • Coordinate assigned activities with those of other college programs, departments, as well as external   entities
  • Assist the Director of Admissions and Recruiting in planning, implementing and evaluating institutional recruitment and admissions strategies.
  • Generate innovative approaches to increase awareness about Columbia State to  prospective student audiences and to increase enrollment and college completion.
  • Support development, oversight of programs and services that result in enrollment, progression, retention and graduation growth for the service area.

Supplemental Functions

  • Participate in recruitment and enrollment efforts through visits to high schools, college fairs, business and industry sites, community organizations, and other recruitment venues in the college service area.
  • Serve on college wide standing committees
  • Supervise student workers as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing or customer service related field

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in higher education

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good public relations skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Detailed and results-oriented
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some evening and weekend hours.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in computer productivity software and  student information systems related to enrollment services; BANNER experience preferred

  • Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the nine-county service area and in other markets as needed.

Hiring Salary Range (Annual): $39,290 - $47,150

This position is based at the Columbia TN Campus
