Job Summary
The Campus Enrollment Counselor is responsible for recruitment efforts on campus, planning recruiting events for the college, and actively recruiting, tracking, and assisting the prospective students who visit the campus (traditional and non-traditional).
Job Duties
- Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating and managing outreach efforts to all campus prospective students assigned and ensuring consistent communication and timely follow-up as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact for on-campus student meetings, walk-ups, and any campus tours scheduled by primary and secondary schools in the region. Conduct tours as needed.
- Manage tour scheduling system by providing an initial response, clear instructions, and follow up after each event.
- Perform outreach initiatives and additional duties as needed to support the achievement of institutional outreach and enrollment goals
- Assist with Registration Center functions as needed.
- Provide initial counseling to prospective students and applicants.
- Assist with public relations events on campus including organizing on-campus events as needed
- Track assigned Inquiries/Prospects from application to registration and assist with all steps in process as needed.
- Utilize CRM software to ensure applicants are receiving needed communication from the college.
- Provide follow-up data on events and visits to Director of Recruitment.
- Serve as a resource for varied campus operations and functions; serve as a liaison between recruitment departments and other departments and organizations.
- Work with Director of Recruitment to perform comprehensive inquiry and application follow-up functions.
- Assist with the facilitation of recruitment and communication plans targeted to specific groups of prospective students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the assistant vice president of Enrollment Management or Director of Recruitment.
- Represent the college in professional organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors degree business, education, marketing, or in related area, or Associates Degree and 2-3 years of recruitment or sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Adequate data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous work experience in college recruitment or student services environment.
• Knowledge of TBR policies.
• Previous experience in sales and marketing or public relations, with strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Previous work experience in high-traffic client service environment.
• Experience with the BANNER computer system or CRM software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills including strong written and verbal skills.
• Demonstrated experience in sales or customer service, including strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage high-volume outreach.
• Demonstrated follow-up and follow-through ability.
• Commitment to community college education; strong desire to assist community college students.
• Proven team player with initiative.
• Proven adaptability skills as well as ability and willingness to perform multiple tasks.
• The ability to work independently with limited guidance; self-starter.
• Demonstrate a positive and high-energy, student-focused and results oriented mindset, applying a sales-drive approach to student engagement while effectively managing time to maximize daily outreach and enrollment outcomes.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Pay Rate: $36,873-$46,091 Annual salary determined based on eligible experience and defined by the current compensation plan.
