The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Associate Instructor in the Evening Barbering Program at our Clarksville Campus. This is a grant-funded position. The Evening Barbering Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction to prepare students for employment as Barbers. The instructor must also perform administrative tasks to ensure student attendance and grades are accurately recorded. This is not a remote position; all instruction is delivered in-person. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Class schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

Supports the program coordinator to help assure effective program operation. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, administration, and review of the effectiveness of the clinical experiences. The Clinical Coordinator assigns students to clinical sites, ensures facility onboarding requirements are satisfactorily met prior to the start of rotations, maintains clinic-related documentation, and verifies students’ clinical performance. The Clinical Coordinator serves as the point of contact for the clinic sites. The Clinical Coordinator will foster positive, professional relations with existing sites and cultivate new clinical sites. In order to achieve this goal, it is expected that the Clinical Coordinator will maintain consistent communication with clinical trainers and make regular visits to the sites where students are being trained. The Clinical Coordinator also teaches in the classroom and laboratory and participates in college activities.
