      Adult Education Substitute Adjunct Instructor - Knox County in Knoxville

      The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville is accepting applications for a part-time Substitute Adjunct Instructor who would work as needed in the Adult Education Program. This position is grant-funded. This position provides instruction in adult education for the six educational functioning levels to students with varying academic levels. The instructor interacts with students and provides instructional and registration /intake-related services for potential and current students.

      This is a full-time, academic year, faculty term appointment within the Department of Communications, Graphic and Fine Arts. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation (develop curricula and instructional material; prepare course syllabi), presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The faculty member is also responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction; instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations.

    • Faculty - Medical Laboratory Technology in Memphis

      This is a full-time, term position, academic-year faculty appointment within the Department of Allied Health. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. The instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. Supports the program coordinator to help assure effective program operation. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, administration, and review of the effectiveness of the clinical experiences. The Clinical Coordinator assigns students to clinical sites, ensures facility onboarding requirements are satisfactorily met prior to the start of rotations, maintains clinic-related documentation, and verifies students’ clinical performance. The Clinical Coordinator serves as the point of contact for the clinic sites. The Clinical Coordinator will foster positive, professional relations with existing sites and cultivate new clinical sites. In order to achieve this goal, it is expected that the Clinical Coordinator will maintain consistent communication with clinical trainers and make regular visits to the sites where students are being trained. The Clinical Coordinator also teaches in the classroom and laboratory and participates in college activities. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations.
